The weather was not at its best on Saturday with frequent, squally rain showers but even the fact that the low cloud base, curtailed some of the displays, did not deter the watching crowds from enjoying the flying, including the mighty Vulcan. The weather was better on the Sunday, still breezy but no rain and the Red Arrows were the highlight of the day. By the end of the day the clouds had virtually disappeared and the final event of a flypast of nine Hawker Hunters was against a blue back drop. East of England Show 2011

These were just some of the many complimentary comments we received from customers who were as pleased as we were that we’d been invited back to put on our service again at the East of England Show. “If there’s no scooter he can’t come” remarked someone booking a scooter for his father. “It’s worth every penny!” “Brilliant service” “Needs a bull-bar and an air-horn” said Mr Taylor, exasperated by people wandering in front of him and his scooter in the crowds – but he was smiling at the time so not too much of a problem I guess.

Crick Boat Show 2011

The good old British weather arranged for Bank Holiday Monday to be a continuous downpour all day but the boating fraternity are a hardy lot and certainly don’t let a bit of water put them off having a good day out! There were more than a hundred brightly painted, beautifully decorated boats in the marina and along the canal, some vying for the title ‘Best Boat in Show’ and others simply performing their role of being a ‘home from home’.
