Waddington Air Show 2011

It was wonderful to see and hear the Vulcan performing amazing manoeuvres, seemingly in slow motion, and rattling people’s chests with its mighty roar.  It brought the place to a standstill each day. Other spectacular sights were provided by the F16 Thunderbirds, Tornadoes, the magnificent Red Arrows and the evocative Memorial Flight of the Lancaster bomber accompanied by the Spitfire and Hurricane. There was plenty to see on the ground too, the chance to climb up to and inspect one of the Red Arrows planes, have a go in a Typhoon flight simulator or wander along the static display of dozens of aircraft from around the world.    We were ...
