The festival weather gave us all seasons in one day, getting fair use of the suncream and brollies! A fantastic inline, as always, with this year’s event including Genesis Extended, The Australian Pink Floyd Show, Chas and Dave, Marillion, along with Fairport Convention and many other fine acts.
Thanks to all those who booked scooters and wheelchairs - we hope you had a great time and from talking with you all, it sounds like you had a fantastic few days. To those who had difficulties with some break downs in the rain - we’re glad we were able to help get ...
Once again the organisers of the show have put on some truly amazing air displays, featuring a wide variety of modern and historic aircraft.
After some initial electrical problems caused delays in readying our fleet, the weekend picked up well. Customer bookings were full and they made use of the scooters, exploring the large range of attractions and watching the exciting aerial displays.
The top air attractions this year included the Euro fighter, displaying its amazing aerobatic capabilities. The Lancaster bomber flyer over accompanied by a Spitfire and ...
We’ve been fortunate to experience our first year of helping at this festival and what a great time we’ve had.
From talking with customers around the festival we can tell they’ve appreciated the use of the scooters, as the site is very large and there is so much to explore.
With over 100 musical groups/acts having performed over the four days, there’s been something for everyone’s tastes, from dynamic african dance through to orchestral music, with drum and percussion workshops where the public can join in for free!

A very reluctant, unsure gentleman came to collect his scooter in the morning but the quote,
“I was wrong” came from a very happy, relaxed gentleman when he returned it late in the afternoon. His family were dumbstruck but delighted by his words (pictured above).
This to me not only summed up our experience at Chatsworth but also the whole of the summer wherever our service has been used. “Brilliant”, “couldn’t have done without it”, “made my day” are just a few of the oft repeated statements from the majority of our returning customers. Also, the ...
It’s an international event, attracting birdwatchers, wildlife enthusiasts and conservationists from every part of the world to share their knowledge and experiences. Although it’s called Birdfair it’s fast becoming known as the international wildlife event of the year and is not just for birders but for anyone with an interest in preserving the beauties of the natural world.
Each year, the Birdfair supports a particular conservation project and for the next 3 years it will be supporting BirdLife’s Flyways Programme. This year it is working to protect the ...
The raffle prizes of a ukulele, a guitar, a violin, photos, cd’s and posters, all signed by the artistes, were obtained throughout the year by our Cropredy Fundraiser Yvonne Bennett. Thanks Yvonne for all your hours of attending gigs and meeting with the artistes on behalf of Fair Mobility.
We are grateful to the Music Room for the brand new ukulele, which was signed by all the Fairport Convention band members and came complete with the words and music of ‘Ukelele Central’, also signed by Chris Leslie and Ric Sanders. More information about the Music Room can be ...
The perfect weather helped of course, and seeing some great acts on stage (Home Service, UB40, Blockheads, the Horslips, Lau, Seasick Steve and many many more, plus the legendary Fairport Convention themselves) between shifts was a bonus - but the best bit for me was having such a dedicated team of volunteers, all pulling together to look after our customers’ needs and raising much needed funds at the same time.
Thankyou so much to all in ‘Team A Plus’ (in no particular order) - Barry, Sam, John, Kate, Martin, Kim, Ian, Yvonne, Pete, Cath, Sue, Graham and Emma, ...
It was wonderful to see and hear the Vulcan performing amazing manoeuvres, seemingly in slow motion, and rattling people’s chests with its mighty roar. It brought the place to a standstill each day. Other spectacular sights were provided by the F16 Thunderbirds, Tornadoes, the magnificent Red Arrows and the evocative Memorial Flight of the Lancaster bomber accompanied by the Spitfire and Hurricane. There was plenty to see on the ground too, the chance to climb up to and inspect one of the Red Arrows planes, have a go in a Typhoon flight simulator or wander along the ...
