Fairport’s Cropredy Convention 2016
Cropredy is a pretty village five miles north of Banbury in Oxfordshire (see the location map on this website). Every August, its inhabitants welcome an invasion of up to 20,000 music-lovers for Fairport's Cropredy Convention. The event is held over the second full weekend of August, from Thursday afternoon to midnight on Saturday. Fair Mobility have been supporting the Cropredy festival for many years and we hope you will join us this year.

More than the sum of its parts, this collection of artists, thinkers, activists and people of passion will make the memories, trigger the creativity, transport you to a different place, and turn four days in August into the highlight of your year. The Greenbelt festival features a large, diverse range of music, talks, performing and visual arts. There is comedy and literature along with a range of activities for children.

Cropredy is a music festival - it could never be pidgeon-holed as a folk festival. Along with the finest in folk and folk rock - Lindisfarne, Julie Fowlis, Steeleye Span, Ralph McTell, Cara Dillon - the Cropredy audience has witnessed the likes of Alice Cooper, Robert Plant, Status Quo, Steve Winwood and Buzzcocks.
